Ramlösa Shipping was founded in 2022 under the leadership of UME Shipping AB in Stockholm. Since then, several key individuals have been tied to the company.

In December 2022, a majority stake was acquired in a crude oil tanker, London Star, with a deadweight tonnage of 76,000.
